Surfboard Art (remove all the wax)?

My brother is very artistic and I'm getting some paint pens for his birthday because he has been wanting to do that in our forums as both have spaces. My question is, is there a safe cleaner to really get all the wax, and I do not mean just wait for it to melt in the sun. It really has to be clear for the to work well. I've heard paint thinner and other suggestions, but that seems a bit abrupt, especially in a fiberglass board. Thanks for any help.

Well is the easy removal of wax. The first thing to do is let the Board to sit in the sun for a few minutes also allowing heat to the wax. Then use a comb with wax or old credit card to remove all the wax. There will some remnants of wax, and this is where the wax remover comes Go to any surf shop and ask for some wax remover. Dont use any of the paint thinner things. Just get some wax remover. Follow the instructions on it and all its wax will come off. It's that simple. Good luck.
