She has covered Patsy’s songs, so that the Canadian and American favor her so much.
K.D. recorded many albums, both the covered and composed by herself, and got several awards and mentions from listeners and fames around the world. She is the one of eight women singers of the world who got two awards of VH”s 100 Greatest Women in Rock & Roll and CMT” 40 Greatest Women in country Music. She owned a lot of Grammy Awards and was invited duo with other singers. Also, her warm songs and voice were put into many movies.
To whom favor in folk rock, smooth, sweet and sad pop country, should find out and listen the “Watershed”. All of 11 songs which were composed, sang, performed and produced by K.D. herself, will serenade and make you feel delighted.
And another man with 33 years, but still be a new generation singer, Jack Johnson with “Sleep Through the Static”, a newest album which is hot nowadays.
Jack Johnson was a surfer from Hawaii. He changed his life to be a popular in music way because of the accident during the surfboard competition when he was 17 years. His head hit the surfboard while underpass the Pipeline and had to suture more 150 needles, and stayed long in the hospital. During nursing himself, he played a guitar and composed the songs. His story is similar to Matt Costa, a singer belong to his Brushfire Records.
Jack Johnson graduated in movie from the University of California. However, he still be interested of music, so he started to conduct a non-fiction movie with his friends titled “Thicker than Water”, comprised with his songs. The movie was satisfy, also his songs, made him a favor of song lovers’ heart.
The Sleep Through the Static is number 5 of the studio album, which consisted of 14 love songs sang and performed acoustic guitar by Jack Johnson. The special happened that Jack moved the place for record, from Hawaii hometown to L.A.”s Solar Powered Plastic Plant, a studio where used the real natural power for supporting the champagne of the Global Warming, such as “All At Once”, the first track of album. The next Sleep Through the Static, a title track and single “Hope, If I had Eyes” last year and others in the album.

If you have to ask that question on line, you don’t know enough about surfing/surfboards to buy one on E-bay without getting ripped off. Go to a surf shop, and look for a used board. Be honest, tell them you are just starting, that you know nothing.
I always suggest starting with lessons, and holding off on buying a board. DON”T rush into buying a board. Beginners should take advantage of renting boards and wetsuits while taking lessons. If it turns out you don’t like surfing, you haven’t wasted a whole lot of money on gear that you are not going to use. When you are ready to buy, don’t waste your time on line, go to a good local surf shop to discuss your size (weight is import, height isn’t), skill level and local wave conditions. And if possible, avoid popouts, and boards made in sweat shops in China, unless that’s just all you can afford. And don’t forget, there are always used boards for sale in every surf shop. After almost 43 years of surfing, I still get my surfboard buying advice at good local shops in the places where I surf.
